kick start heater

hooked up heater in my 56 ffpw after taking apart,cleaning and painting,i noticed when i had it apart and tested the blower moter i had to "push start it".checked all wireing every is good.now that it is mounted i still have to give the fan blade a push to get it going.is it just old age?,are these blower motors still available?.model 65 heater.any ideas?thanks,mike
