A diaphragm style is lots easier to mhold in than a three-finger, because the diaphragm will 'oil can' past center. Size matters too. Twice I up-sized my clutches. Both times my left leg was sorry. From , 11 to 12 is tons more pressure.

Maybe you can find the 'pounds of pressure' for the different clutch covers in a parts catalog? I know the performance parts people like to specify that.
