in 2010 the diesel regs change. A motor that is released as a 2010 model must meet those regs. It is perfectly OK for a 2010 motor to be released in 2009. The current 6.7 Cummins meets the 2010 regs. In 2011 there may another set of regs that a 2010 motor doesn't comply with....
