The conference is now over. It lasted 44 minutes and was pretty informative, watching the horses pooping and the cattle step on the car executives...ha!ha!
Jim Press made it clear that this truck is ONLY the 1500, so it's somewhat OK that it has the features it has, a 1/2 ton isn't a work truck anyway, it's a car. That ugly console is an option, so the market will decide it's fate.
I suspect that if it sells well, some features will find their way to the 2500 and 3500.
Coil springs are an interesting potential big seller if the truck rides well on the street.
The BIG NEWS is the Cummins V-6 Turbo diesel will be here in 2009!
