The New York Times broke the embargo and released information ahead of the Sunday news conference, so Allpar.com released the whole enchilada!
First impressions are:
Bedside Storage Box is something new and insulated for use as an ice chest or tool box.
My curiosity is that these trucks all seem to be 1500's so I don't know how they can speculate that the Mega Cab is dead, it's a 2500???
Overall, it looks like the interior quality is better, the engines are better, the ride and comfort has improved.
The Jury is still out on the rear coils, but since 80% of new truck buyers are posers, they should enjoy the ride. I'm not sure I like the fact that the front seat now only holds two, nor am I happy that the V-6 diesel option is moved back to 2010, it should here NOW!!!
Rumor is that construction of the new transmission plant, being built for the diesel has been been halted......but Dodge is being excruciatingly SLOW in bringing a potential market changing option to the market.
By the time they get their act together, both Ford and GM will also have small diesels, but one thing to note, unlike Ford and GM, the Cummins diesels work and last forever.
