TO a non-professional metal person like me, the original pins seemed hard.
Only when Kevin tested them at his shop did he find they were not hardened.
The other pins I sent him that I got from McMaster were the equivalent of grade 5 bolts.
IN other words pretty hard.
I think I will put the originals back in, since they were not really bad, and that is what was in there to begin with.
