Cummins 4bt vibration

Hello.

I am putting together a budget for a Power Wagon project. I would prefer a diesel and have been reading a lot about the Cummins 4bt and 6bt. I have read about and been told by a diesel mechanic that the 4bt produces a lot of vibration and would like to know from those who have done this conversion how bad it really is.

Also, I know that most people say that a 6bt won't fit; however, besides putting a recess in the firewall and probably putting in a new transmission mount, what else am I missing? I've heard/read of moving the firewall anywhere from 3-8 inches to accommodate the motor; has anyone here done this to give a more accurate number?

A running 6bt sold yesterday on ebay for $900, while a 4bt coupled to a bad TH400 sold a few weeks ago for $3000, so a 6bt seems worth considering if you don't mind doing a little firewall modification.
