Hi Norm! Happy New Year to you, too! Speaking of B-36s, I'll never forget one Armed Forces Day, we were traveling through Medford, MA en route to an open house at the local AFB. Traffic suddenly stopped and people were piling out their cars to witness what was going on! There, low on the horizon, were six B-36s flying wingtip to wingtip, and when they passed overhead at about 1,000 ft., I thought I had died and gone to Heaven! They were immediately followed by four KB-50 tankers in the same formation! I'll never see/hear a sight like that again unless I get to Heaven! I'm sure there were a number of windows broken in Medford that day! Then there was the Watertown Aesenal nearby, where the Atomic Cannons were built, and the ANG was based at East Boston Airport, flying those P-51 Mustangs (another sound-distictive Warbird)day and night - it was the Cold-War days, y'know. Those were the days that America liked to flex its miliary muscle. Dave Maher
