if you rebuild your brake cylinders with stainless steel or brass sleeves and pistons it won't matter what you put in for fluid but i do know that silicone fuild will give you a hard pedal. in other words you would have to push harder to get the brakes to work. Whitepost does the sleeving and they do a very good job too once you sleeve them your done with them for life according to whitepost
