The only person you have to please,is yourself. A bed/box doesn't have to meet any particular degree of perfection as long as it suits your need.I use an old widened 40's ben her 1-ton trailer box on my 64'WM300.It works fine,looks almost like original equip. but had I had known what it was worth,I would not have distroyed a complete trailer but rather sold it and bought the correct box.So if you like it,want it,get it.
