It's my understanding that the ratio in the 2 speed is great if you want to get even further into Rock Crawling, but NOT for higher speed.
If I remember right, they added the 2 speed to the 6x6 to help the engine move the extra weight (low end) not make a "faster" truck out of the 6x6.
So that's the main reason I haven't pursued changing my 1 speed out from my 3/4T Command Car even though I have 4:30's, and it would help me to return to the off road speeds it originally had.
