I've just gotten a W-300 chassis with axels, transfer case, and 10 bolt PTO which I am trying to identify by a partial S/N and components. The S/N was partially obliterated by welded brackets and I think I can see 1?4?71?1196 (digits followed by ? are uncertain) It looks identical to my '63 W-300 chassis, except that it has square tube instead of cast iron travel stops on the rear axel. The front 6.5 x 16 Budd rims were both dated '66. It has 6 bolt lug pattern, singles in the rear (not the original axel, or rebuilt), and 21 tooth splines on the front axel shafts. Looks like it had factory dual master cylinder, as there is a dual system brake line distribution block and differential pressure switch mounted to the chassis with an original Dodge bolt. I have not opened the front differential yet to check the date on the ring gear. Thanks for the help! Rob
