Dave, I would think they would be. Though I do not know masseys, I was wondering if there is an electric fuel cut off that may need power applied to it. Or is it manual.
You need compression, heat (glow plugs), and fuel and it should run. Do the glow plugs appear to be drawing power? Maybe if all that is correct, you have a fuel gel or filter clog problem, air in system or petcock closed somewhere?
