I have mentioned this in a past forum that I have always owned old Land Rovers which I have always had a high regard for. Now those old girls only had a top speed of about 55 mph with a good tailwind. If you took out the pto driven winch and put in an overdrive you could attain a cruising speed of 65 mph.
Now since I am going to purchase the mighty PW I am wondering what I am getting myself into.I drove M37's in the army and we cruised them at about 55 mph. Of course when it was raining you would have to take your foot of the throttle once in awhile to clear your windshield.
What is the average cruising speed of the PW's. I'm hoping at least 50 mph or would that be pushing the old girl to hard.
Your advice please.
Brian
