Tim, I got my wife a remote for her PT Cruiser and she loves that thing. It warms her car when needed and cools it in the summer time. We had it installed at a Ziebart dealer and I wouldn't buy one of the cheapy deals. My neighbor who's a mechanic, tried that on a Chyrsler minivan and gave up on it. He had a good one installed instead at Ziebart. This one will also lock the doors but of course you have to have electric locks to begin with. Trust me on this one, she won't forget what you got her for Christmas and it will be the right size.
