I am in the aircraft maintenance business and I can agree with you all. My insurance alone is over 80K per year. You wouldn't believe how cheap some owners and pilots are when it comes to repairing their planes. It ain't like you can pull over when it breaks. The owners seem to forget that the last thing they will see in this life if something major goes wrong is the pilot's ass ! Sometimes it just costs money-- a profit has to be made by everyone that handles the part. the market will set how much profit-- too much and you won't sell many. Whew, rant over
