They're radials. It's absolutely impossible to move turn the tires on dry ground when the truck's not rolling, no matter how hard I reef on the steering wheel. I would say it even takes more steering effort than an M35, which was my previous definition of "Armstrong steering". I suspect the buckshot's have vastly better traction than the NDTs, though. Now that we have a little snow, I should take the M43 out and see how the traction compares. They probably also have better flotation on sand and mud than the NDTs.
