The 1x4 protected the bead of the tire. Then it it acted as a tire iron to pry the donut end out. More pry bars helped, eventually spiral it out.
Chainsaw seemed to work better than saw-zall, which dulled fast. Pouring 30wt into the kerf helped.
Anybody got a use for the old rims, besides flower pots?
ITT got me my tubes and flaps- three days from Houston.
My batch had two excellent ZXLs, one excellent XL, and one well worn XL. I'm runnning the more roundedy XLs on the front, the squarer ZXLs on the rear.
Anybody got an extra XL? I'd like to use the balder one as a spare.
