With a DSL connection I think nothing of uploading my SLRs 4MB+ images to Image Event to share with someone. Unless someone is taking pictures in RAW mode, or using a Medium Format camera (ahhh Hasselblads!) most home Broadband style connections can handle any image sent.
I once wanted to give permission to another person so they could upload to my Image Event, but I could not figure out how to do it without giving them access to the whole site. I mention this as another option would be to have anyone be able to upload to Paul's Image Event using a guest password, and then Paul could edit as needed.
Another thought is to ask for Phil's help, he could set something up on T137.com that people could automatically upload images of any size to, and they would be automatically resized, and posted in a gallery. Or maybe I am being too optimistic about Phil's skills, and available free time!
