I came home today and found the M43 rolled half-way out into the street. Earlier, I'd hooked it up to the battery charger, which is a 1930s Signal Corps boat-anchor of a beast with long cables on it. I always leave the charger in place and run the cables to the vehicle. I must have left the truck out of gear, because at some point this afternoon it rolled backwards until the battery charger cables got tight, and they held it from going further. There isn't much of a grade, but even still I was amazed that an 8000 lb truck didn't drag the charger or break the cables. It's another one of those cases of "they don't make 'em like they used to!"
