So I left them- so far. They may be useful someday? The shackles are there for 'cover' in the mean time?

The truck must have been previously owned by "The Mad Welder of Lemon Grove". There was a large dock bumper that had flanges welded to the rear post holes. plus steps along the side extending and welded to the rear fenders. With racks on the steps, possibly for weights? plus the sheet of iron in the bed, Plus, inside the bed, at a 45 degree angle, were 1/2 x 4 straps welded to the bed sides, with slot in the top, for the A-frame support cables/chains. Plus the front had some kind of frame over the winch. And a 'pintle hitch' made of 1/2" plate welded to one front bumper- it must have weighed 25 pounds. Everywhere there had been a weld needed repairs, due to rust between the layers. All healed up now!
