Everybody is allowed to ask what they want - if you don't want to pay that much, don't buy it.
1 of 3 things will happen:
1. It is worth (in someones' eyes) what is being asked and someone will buy it at that price.
2. It won't sell at that price and the seller will reduce the price to meet the market demand.
3. It won't sell and the seller will let it sit in his yard and rot, chasing away prospective buyers out of pride.
It is as frustrating to me as it is to you (Think this stuff is expensive - try buying Road Runner parts!!), but it is the law of supply and demand.
