The gas pedal one went on easy. I decided to do the clutch and brake ones from the top side because it looks real hard to get the pedals off their shaft. The set I bought had two different kinds of clutch/brake seals. One, the old version, seemed to be of a natural rubber material with flakes of wax all over it. I boiled it, and was amazed that it stretched over the brake pedal without ripping. The other one was newer, didn't have any flakes of wax on it, and appeared to be sort of a vinyl material (shinier and smoother than the rubber one). I boiled it and tried to slip it over, but it ripped apart in two places. My truck did originally have these seals because I found remnants at the bottom of the lever.

The lesson here is that if you want to stretch them over the pedals (or probably over the pivot end as well), be sure you get the old kind made out of real rubber rather then the newer ones. No doubt the government saved money on the contract for the new version, but I'd be amazed if any of them ever actually ended up installed on a truck. I'm going to try to glue the ripped one back together (nothing to lose) but I doubt it will hold up.
