I think I'll try to get hold of the patterns if he does decide to get rid of them all. Of course I have no place to store them. I'd rather have them used to re-make old machines, but since that's not going to happen, I'd rather see them used as furniture or wall art than just be burned. A lot of them have notes written on them about the sizes and locations of risers and other things that I don't understand.
