I have seen lift kits on chevys with IFS fail because of bolts. they lift kits for IFS are essentially a frame piece mounted lower off the stock frame, creating a lower mounting area for the stock front axle and suspension, and I have seen them come loose and crack the assembly. If it was riveted in it most likely would not do that.
