The Hydroboost Vacuum Booster should work well in your M37. You do NOT want any residual pressure check valves in a 4 wheel disk brake system. Your decision to use a Proportion valve is good and well founded !

The Master Cylinder you mention is most likely a 1 & 1/4" bore. Do not expect good brakes or a good pedal with good reserve with that Master Cylinder.

I have 4 wheel Disk Brakes on all my trucks and have found from experience that you need a 1 & 5/16" bore Master Cylinder (JD-8 option). This will give you 15 to 20% more reserve and move more fluid. The Part Number is Bendix 11584, the NAPA number is 39017.

I suggest you go to the top of this forum, click on Phil's Archives and then do a search for 'Bendix 11584' There is a lot of information and results with this MC.

Please ask if you need more help after you read the search for 'Bendix 11584'
