The state of Indiana gave BP a wavier on the on the dumping. Not only did they give BP a 10 year extension to compliance, they also allowed BP to increase the amount of mercury, stricnine (sp), and other lovely substanses into the lake.
1st Hizhonor the mayor of Chicaga started bitchin, then the gov's of Illinoisssss, Wisconsin & Michigan jumped in. That's when we got them big increases in gas prices, putting us at the highest prices in the nation for almost a month.
The prices JUST recently started going back down, to $2.72 a gal by us, & $2.9? in the city. That was short lived though, & we're back up to $2.86 by us, & I'm sure it'll keep goin up now.
Oh, BTW, the salmon glowed too. HA!
