I THINK the glass goes in, and sits in the bottom 'til the track and felt runner goes in.
But I do know that my second door went a lot easier than the first. Because I made a little gizmo to hold the spring loaded roller in position. It was just a piece of sheet metal, about 1 3/4" by 3 1/2", with a 3/4" wide by 1 1/4" deep slot sawed in one end. Use it to pry/hold the spring loaded roller in position. My hammy fists don't hardly fit inside there.
The final adjustment is to loosen up the pivot nut on the window regulator, and allow it to find it's own home. I think the window has to be rolled part way down for access to the nut.
