I've had this dead, 18" pine tree near my shop that I've been putting off cutting for too long.
Today, we had a thunderstorm and it broke off about 8' off the ground, fell across the shop right over the Power Wagon, and broke in 6 pieces. The top fell in front of the shop and broke in two pieces and the rest fell to the rear and broke in four pieces. It fell right across the ridge, dented the ridge cap and roof sheets a little but that was all.
Boy was I nervous when I walked up and saw the top lying in front of the shop.
It still amazes me that it didn't do more damage than it did. Very little damage to the shop and no damage to the Power Wagon.
