hey thanks! I think that may have done it. Funny, I went into both NAPA and Car Quest, and of course, they looked at me like I was idiot, which may be true also. At that time, I didn't have the Dodge OEM number, and they were like "just find one in the book that looks the same." Fine, but it's kinda critical what resistance we're getting at what temperature. Huh? sez they.

So, Eric Bannerman of E Bay fame (I've bought a few things from him) gave me the OEM #1770732.

So, armed with that, I used your link and immediately came up Echlin #TS6460 at NAPA, $14.99. I just figured, as many of these engines are still out there, that there had to be a modern replacement. I had considered going the NOS route from some of the known suppliers, if I couldn't get anywhere pursuing this idea.

Thanks for your help. I felt like sort of an "interloper", since my truck is NOT a Power Wagon, but a 58 1/2 ton pickup. Had the ol' sucker for 37 years, and have spent the last 10 or so "restoring" it. Ain't no concours deal, but it looks pretty good. Did 99% of the work myself, including the body work and paint.

Your site was recommended by someone else. It sure is interesting.

Thanks,

Steve Kirby
