My bed sides have a row of holes down the sides as if the strips were bolted on. I thought it was factory.

I may just make my own and bolt them on (otherwise, I'll have to fill a bunch of holes). I see from Paul's photo how they should be made.

I plan to use either hickory or red oak, not because they are the best but because I cut these down from behind my house. I thought it would be neat to use trees from my place for the floor and wood rails on top of the bed.
