Maybe somebody else has some input too?

My seat was missing the plate on the passenger side too. I do guess they had two from the factory, since both of my cabs had two 'studs' on the base. Plus I thought I saw broken welds from the plate's removal?

But the cab I ended up using had knobs formed on the ends of the studs. Too big to fit in the holes. I figured the stamped, hollow studs had been mushroomed from having a wrong seat once upon a time. So out comes the torch, heat them up cherry red, and try to squash them with pliers. No go, had to use vice grips. Now they look cool, like the end of a faucet stem, knurled. Now I guess the knobs were solid globs of weld? They were neat enough, though one was a little bigger than it's mate. Stock? or did some previous mechanic do a mod for some reason?
