Who ever did the previous work on the truck put brand new tires on, in 1985. The left front is cracking like the San Andreas fault. And it was in the spare position when I got it.Still had the nubbies from casting on the tread. Waaaay hard. So maybe they can take a permanent set? Try rotating tires?
Too tight on the steering and it may lock up, and you will get arm weary driving it, once around the block. Caution is called for when adjusting steering.
