Tim,
There is a correct hose for this application, do not use radiator hose, it will gum up your nice clean tank and lines, and leak after a while.
If your local auto parts store does not have the right size in an elbow try a piece that is made to bend, or try another auto parts store.
If that does not work try a marine supply, the same hose would be used on motorboats, etc.
