Is this the going price these days? Some guy has some on ebay. His ad says "spouts", and his picture shows about a dozen in a pile. They're just the regular old-fashioned "donkey dick" jerry can spouts. He says they're NOS and still "flexuous". He has a $45 buy it now price and a reserve on it + $16 for shipping. I assumed he was selling the whole pile, which I figured would be worth $6 apiece or so, so I put in a bid on them. I emailed the guy to ask him exactly how many he was selling and his answer just came back: "One", but he has 8 more I could buy if I wanted. He's sure got the right to ask whatever he wants for them, but good grief! I see the bidding's already up to $25, which hasn't met the reserve, so one spout's worth at least $41 to somebody. Either that ore they'll be sorely disappointed if they think they're buying the whole pile.
