OT: resizing side glass on Pontiac Fiero

Neighbor of mine chopped 3" off a Fiero..layed the windshield back about 10 or 12 degrees. He asked me about either cutting down the side (curved) windows or using Lexan (Is not DOT approved). Any ideas out there? Bill Zavatsky
