If the top rubber mounts on a 63 WM-300 are compressed, the bottom of the cab is most likely riding on the frame. Where the floor board opening in the bottom of the cab is there is a return flange that sticks down about 3/8 of an inch. It will rub and scrape on the frame and make all sorts of noise. New rubber mounts will eliminate this particular source of annoyment. I have seen frames with a groove cut into them by the flange. The sheet metal cab acts like an amplifier. If the gab has settled a great amount, the transmission cover may be riding on the transmission. Crawl under the truck with a good light and check out the cab to frame clearance. This is now I found the problem.
