There is a guy by me that does very good work with flatheads (as well as other engines). He did the 230 in my 52 PW. Reasonable prices and he is a perfectionist.
His name is Pete Mesmer; he is in southern Maryland. He works out of his house/machine shop.
He planed the head on mine, since it was slightly warped. He bored the cylinders .020 over, and also balanced the components- no vibration palpable at idle now.
I bought new .020 over pistons on ebay for him, as well as rings, and replaced the oil and water pump.
