Damn! Condensers have to match coils!

I've been on a witch hunt for a week. It used to run better, then it went to crap. Stumbling, like a lean surge. I tried jets, timing, check everything. Heck, it used to run better on the 6 volt condenser and coil,on 12 volts than it does now on a 12v condenser, on 12 volts, with a ballast resister- but still the 6 volt coil.

This morning, I says Hmmm, bad coils surge- like running out of gas... Hmm, where is that old rusty coil? It say 12 volt right on it... Problem solved!

While I knew that condensers had to match coils, I figured that the match would change if the volts changed. So I was trying to run a 6 volt coil with a ballast resistor, and a 12v conmdenser. No Go.

Now on to the wiper system that I have been working on for two years.
