If they were mine, I would heat them JUST enough to melt candle wax. Heat the yoke and melt candle wax into the joint of the yoke/shaft. Let it cool and do it again. You DONT want to make the yoke real hot, it will just make the candle wax burn and not run into the joint.

Then follow the methods Jerry mentions to tap it off.
