If I had a Power Wagon to sell I wouldn't give a care who bought it, Canadian or Cameroonian.

That you are able to make a good living is a great thing, I wish you more prosperity in the future, your success doesn't diminish my prospects. This isn't a zero sum game we're playing.

A couple of corrections, only about 1/3 of Americans actually receive any benefit from the home mortgage interest deduction and when you go to sell $500,000 in profit is excluded from any taxes and you can do this every couple of years.

The subprime mortgage market problems aren't limited to the U.S., England also has this problem as does any investor U.S. or foreign that has exposure to the equity markets and we all do in some form or the other.

What's that saying? "When the U.S sneezes the rest of the world catches a cold"

As for senior citizens going to Canada to obtain prescription drugs, well who doesn't like a bargain? The cost of drugs might be in some instances cheaper than the U.S. but that is the result of market distortions as the result of Canadian government intervention. The result is that a good number of drugs are held back by the pharmaceutical companies from being distributed in Canada. As Robert Heinlein famously stated "TANSTAAFL"

Good natured ribbing aside, it is in both the interest of the U.S and Canada to remain good trading partners. While we tend to think of you guys as the "Addled Old Aunt that lives in the attic" who is prone to nonsensical outbursts, we really couldn't bear to put you in "the home".

We might trade you for a Power Wagon though!
