I would not worry about starting any engine only sitting a few days or a few weeks. One engine company, Cummins recommends the following in their;

Operation and Maintenance Manual B Series Engines.

Section 1
Operating Instructions
B Series
Starting procedure after extended shutdown or oil change
Page 1-9


Complete the following steps after each oil change, or after the engine has been shut down for more than 30 days to make sure the engine receives the correct oil flow through the lubricating oil system;

Disconnect the electrical wire from the fuel pump solenoid

Rotate Crankshaft, using the starter motor, until oil pressure appears on the gauge, or the earning light goes out

Start Engine

You could do the same on a Gas'er, just disable the engine so it cant start and then follow the above instructions. I just went out and pulled the center wire on my 318 and cranked the engine on the starter, in 12 seconds I had OP.
