The basement is open on two sides, and the room is also open to two sides and is a high traffic area. But you are right, it may have the highest humidity in the house. We run the air only when absolutely necessessary, so humidity fluctuates quite a bit. We tried a dehumidifier for a while, but it kept freezing up.

The latest case of leather mold was on an item on the 3rd floor. See post to Dave above.
