Normally I wouldn't post this on a page for Power Wagons but the people here have really helped in my fight with the zoning Gestapo. The national group COVA/CVAG gets lots of hits from this site also. Quoted below is a message that COVA/CVAG has sent to many people. Feel free to pass it along. I am involved with them and if you would rather contact me, feel free to do so.

GAS OUT 2000

In April 1999, a GAS OUT was held. There were real
people behind it. COVA/CVAG, Inc. thought it was a
great idea and actively supported it.

In early 2000, an e-mail message was being spread
supporting a new gas out. None of the original people
behind Gas Out ’99 could be contacted and no one was
claiming support for this second event. It was deemed
to be a hoax.

COVA/CVAG, Inc. (Council of Vehicle
Associations/Classic Vehicle Advocate Group, Inc.)
agrees with the idea of having a Gas Out and we are
sponsoring such an event.

COVA/CVAG, Inc. is a national, not-for-profit (501 (c)
3), vehicle rights organization. We can be reached

COVA/CVAG, Inc. is sponsoring GAS OUT 2000. We
encourage all consumers to avoid buying name brand
gasoline over the July 4th holiday weekend. That is
July 1- 4, 2000. We are asking you to buy from
gasoline retailers who do not promote a specific brand
(i.e. “Bob’s Service Station” that has a gas pump and
does not signify a specific brand of gasoline).

We are supporting this Gas Out because of the price
rigging that goes on. We oppose the unfair “soaking”
at the pump of the customer that all of the name brand
gasoline companies take part in. These companies are
primarily responsible for these unfair price hikes.
The non-branded companies are not actively
participating in such schemes.

Over the July 4th weekend, let us declare our
independence from the name brand gasoline companies.
Fill your tanks before and after the weekend and
should you need gas during the Gas Out, choose a
non-branded station.

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING THIS CAUSE.

Butch DeZuzio
President, COVA/CVAG, Inc.
