Best I can tell for your number, the float level should be 5/64ths. The best way to adjust the float is to invert the main body so you have the free weight of the float against the needle. If you want to rebuild your carb, you can try a Hygrade kit# 101A. It fits most of the Carter 1 barrel BB type carbs. Your local parts store should be able to help. The kit is about $20.00 and does include a float gauge.
