Ray,

I've been searching for si,ilar information. I too, have heard some good things about POR-15 but I have also heard from some professional Body guys and they aren't as sold on it. Their opinion is that it's a coating not a paint. It is messy and heaven forbid you get it on you because it will only wear off.

I was also told it's not UV stable so it's okay on the chassis and undercarriage but not on exposed surfaces which you will have to top coat.

Keep in mind that POR is virtually unsandable so you'll have a heck of time correcting any problems.

Being a newbie, I'm looking to use Zero Rust and then apply an enamel Korean War OD semi-gloss made by Omni (lower priced division of PPG).

Now if you still have questions and you want first hand experience or advice, Contact Kevin Tetz, he's the guy who produced the video showing how to paint your own car ... this guy is sterling -- friendly, sincere, and concerned about helping you. You can post a message on his web site at www.paintucation.com under Q&A or ask him by email: bandboy@paintucation.com -- It doesn't matter whether you bought his video or not ... he will help you! He is also familiar with Zero Rust.

For detailed questions on Zero Rust, Contact Bruce Palmer by email: info@zerorust.com or visit their site at www.zerorust.com

I hope this helps! Email me if I missed something.

See you on the forum...
Tim
