The (old style)starter would be the type original to that year bellhousing.Probibly 67'w/the new LA eng. was the year they changed the starter bolt pattern?Maybe someone who knows more exact data could fill you in.Also you will need a "L" bracket on the starter side for the final eng. to bellhousing boltup.The 66' should have a hyd. clutch,if not find one or look into the hyd. throwout bearings,they are realitively inexpensive ($150+-) and make conversions easier at times.Race car builders use them alot down south.
