I was closing a deal on a 33 Willys with a fiberglass front end to make a gasser out of. The car was all set up, it only needed an engine, trans and gears. I was going to add a co-pilot seat so I could cruise it on the street (once street tires were swapped on).

I had a brand new, in the crate, Ford 427 Side Oiler with Medium Riser heads, dual quad Tunnel Wedge intake, steel LeMans crank and LeMans rods, and also an aftermarket roller-rockerarm setup and a gear drive (to replace the timing chain).

The deal on the gasser fell through. I still have the engine. One of these days it is going to go in my 1969 Ford Torino Cobra fastback, black on black, which originally had a 428 Cobra Jet in it. It will probably be the last hot rod I'll build, so I'm in no real hurry to get it done. Heck, an NOS 427 block alone now is worth $3500 (if you can find one), and I had half of that into the whole thing 15 years ago!
