I was wondering why the rears used bigger zerk fittings. It must be so you have a bigger 'bolt' to remove them. But they are 1/8" pipe thread, so maybe threading the end of your bolt with a pipe die will make it fit better and pull harder before stripping.

Igor is right, there are holes inside the frame. But they don't line up well enough to push the pin inward, and only the left rear is accessible to a drift for driving outward, what with the tank and the crossmember. Stll, a couple good whacks might drive the pins inward just enough to break them free and make them easier to pull outward.
