The master cyl. needs to be from a 1 ton, it has a larger bore than the 3/4 ton. (dont ask how I know that, but does anyone need a brand new 3/4 ton master?)
You dont mention if you are running front discs or all 4 wheel discs. If just fronts, are you sure the rear drum brakes are adjusted correctly? That is the set-up I have, and I needed to install a residual pressure valve in the rear brake line. It holds about 5 psi of the brake fluid in the rear brakes. That made a huge difference for mine. Be sure you have the master cyl plumbed correctly with the larger resevoir feeding the front brakes.
